Connect ChatGPT
This guide explains how to plug ChatGPT into strivn. Before you start, external AI access must be enabled on at least one of your teams: see Connect your AI.
The address is always the same: https://app.strivn.net/mcp.
Add strivn
Section titled “Add strivn”- Open ChatGPT’s Plugins page (chatgpt.com/plugins).
- Click the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name:
strivn; description: for example “My strivn teams”. - Under Connection, enter the URL
https://app.strivn.net/mcp. - For authentication, keep OAuth. Read the warning, then tick I understand and want to continue.
- Click Create as a plugin.
ChatGPT sends you to strivn’s Authorize screen: sign in if needed, check the account shown, then click Authorize. ChatGPT then lists the strivn tools it found.
Use it in a conversation
Section titled “Use it in a conversation”In a new conversation, type @ in the message box and choose strivn. Then just ask: “List my strivn teams”, “Which players are at risk this week?”.
ChatGPT asks for your confirmation before a change (creating an exercise, recording a result…). Read it before accepting: in strivn, the change applies immediately.
Disconnect ChatGPT
Section titled “Disconnect ChatGPT”- In strivn: Profile › Connected AI assistants, then Revoke.
- In ChatGPT: Plugins page, strivn, then remove or disconnect the plugin.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Symptom | What to do |
|---|---|
ChatGPT only offers list_my_teams | None of your teams has external AI access enabled. Enable it in the team settings. |
| A team you just enabled has no tools | Open a new conversation; if needed, refresh the plugin on the Plugins page. |
| ”This tool is not available for you on this team” | Your role in that team doesn’t allow this action in strivn either. |
| ”AI access is off for this team” | Access was turned off for that team; ask someone who manages its settings to turn it back on. |
