Training programs

The Programs & templates page gathers your team’s training programs. You create reusable templates, you can attach a document (PDF or Word) to them and you assign them to players, who find them in their STRIVN Player app.

From Programs & templates, click New template. First choose the Program type:

  • Period: recurring days (Mon, Wed…) repeated over a date range chosen at assignment;
  • Calendar: specific training dates, each with its own session.

Then fill in:

FieldDescription
TitleName of the program (e.g. “Post-season strength”)
DescriptionGoal and content in a few lines
PhasePre-season, Competition, Transition or Rehab
IntensityLow, Moderate or High
GoalsTo frame the work expected, separated by commas
Preferred daysPeriod program: the days of the week the sessions fall on

Confirm with Create template.

On a Period program, when creating or editing it, add a file in the Program document field.

  • Accepted formats: PDF, Word (.doc, .docx).
  • Maximum size: 20 MB.

The document is attached to the template. To replace it, upload a new one; to remove it, tick Remove when editing. Deleting the template also deletes the attached file.

A template only becomes visible to players once it is assigned. From the template’s page, in the Assign to players panel:

  1. Tick the players concerned.
  2. Set a Start date and an End date.
  3. Add Notes (optional) for the players.
  4. Confirm with Assign the program.

For a single player, the Assign a program button on their profile offers the same settings: Workout template, Start date, End date and Notes. On a Calendar program, the dates are set by the first and the last session.

A player can follow several different programs at the same time. If the same template is already active for them, assigning from their profile offers to archive the old one before activating the new one (Archive and continue); a bulk assignment skips that player instead.

STRIVN records the first time each player opens the program assigned to them. On the template’s page, each assigned player shows Seen on followed by the date, or Not viewed yet. You know who has looked at the program and who hasn’t yet — handy for a reminder before a deadline.

On the player side, the program and its document are available under Programs & plans in the app. See View my programs.
